Abstract

The paper presents the educational programs and the exhibitions of archival materials related to the dictatorship of the colonels in Greece (1967–1974) and the period of the restoration of democracy in the country (1974–1975) that have been carried out by the General State Archives of Greece. All this contributes to the fundamental role that archival institutions play, which is to shape the collective memory of societies by understanding the past.
