About the Journal

«Zhana Archive» journal is a professional publication for archivists, documentologists, and records management specialists. It publishes the results of comprehensive studies and scientific developments in archival science, documentation studies, records management, and national history, facilitating professional communication between domestic and international experts.

The mission of the «Zhana Archive» journal is to promote the development of both domestic and international archival and documentation sciences; to publish relevant articles and reviews on archival practices, documentation, and issues of Kazakhstan’s history; to raise the level of scientific research within these fields and foster international cooperation.

The aim of the journal is to establish a high standard of scientific and practical research, based on modern critical methods, wide access to sources and archival materials, and a better understanding of past and present events, phenomena, and processes.

The journal publishes scholarly and practical works in archival science, documentation studies, records management, and national history, along with review articles by leading experts in the journal’s main thematic areas.

Articles are published in Kazakh, Russian, and English.

The journal indexed in the Kazakhstan Citation Base (KazCB).
